Hygienist - Teeth Cleaning
Healthy gums and healthy teeth should not bleed when brushing or flossing. If left untreated periodontal disease can destroy the supporting gum tissue and bone around your natural teeth. This can lead to loose teeth and eventually loss of teeth, as well as contribute to bad breath and sensitivity. Our hygienists are experts in assessing gum health, and thoroughly scaling and polishing to remove tartar and plaque build up.
Free Teenage Dental Care
Learning how to take care of your teeth at a young age and developing good habits is crucial to preventing future problems as an adult. We provide free dental care for children from Year 9 (at highschool) up to 18 years of age, funded by the Ministry of Health. Make sure you take advantage of this FREE service while you can. This is for basic and necessary dental care but does not include Orthodontic care or tooth whitening.
ACC/WINZ
All of our dentists are registered with ACC and WINZ so we can help you get sorted if you’ve had an accident or are able to get WINZ assistance. WINZ may be able to help pay towards the cost of dental treatment, especially if it’s urgent. From 1st December 2022, you can apply for up to $1000/year for immediate and essential dental work. You don’t have to be on a benefit for this help but you may need to pay back some of the money depending on your situation. We can assist you with lodging your ACC dental claim if you’ve had an accident or injury. This will determine the ACC contribution towards your treatment costs.
